Revision as of 09:29, 15 August 2021

For a 2001 Job2 Ford V6~4.0L~SOHC, Coolant system total capacity is roughly 14.00Quarts=13.25Litre.
Coolant needs to be flushed+renewed & the ThermoStat & RadiatorCap replaced, every 3Yrs\33kMiles.
Inspect other Coolant systems parts: Hoses, HeaterValve, Fan+Clutch, Pump, Belt..., & replace as needed.
The OwnersGuide base\minimum Coolant Spec#ese-m97b44-a for this engine is LiteGreen Ford#vc-5dil.
The OwnersGuide also lists\suggests an upgrade Spec#wss-m97b51-a1; this is Gold\Yellow Ford#vc-7dil;
this Gold\Yellow formula has additional CorrosionInhibitors + Lubricants which are beneficial & preferred.
Products below satisfy these Specs; compare SafetyDataSheet Ingredients if considering other Coolants.
These are HybridOrganicAcidTech\HOAT formulations, without any 2EthylHexAcid\2EHA & may be mixed;
Coolants with 2EHA are known to damage seals in a V6~4.0L~SOHC engine & should NOT be used\mixed.

Only use these or an equal LiteGreen\Gold\Yellow Coolant; do NOT use Blue\DarkGreen\Orange\Pink\Red.
